When Nikki and Jason contacted us in search of a photographer for their Las Vegas elopement, little did we know that they boasted 20 years of success running a photography business in Australia. We recommended an elopement package that encompassed three distinct sides of Vegas: Downtown, El Dorado Dry Lake Bed, and the Bellagio fountains. These contrasting locations painted a vivid picture of what defines our vibrant city.
Downtown Las Vegas
Downtown Vegas architecture is like a time machine to the ’50s and ’60s – neon signs, vibrant colors, and the lively energy of the crowd. Nikki and Jason danced to the tunes of street performers, and we celebrated their 20th anniversary with a pop of champagne. We passed by the famous Praying Mantis and one of the oldest hotels, El Cortez.
El Dorado Dry Lake Bed
Next stop, El Dorado Dry Lake Bed, this flat spot off Highway 95, 40 minutes southeast from the Strip. We drove to the center of this vast plain that looks more like a desert than anything else around Vegas. We were greeted by one of the best sunsets of the year. My 14mm lens was working overtime to capture the vastness of that sky.
Bellagio fountains
After the sunset, we continued our photo tour to our last location, the Bellagio Hotel fountains. If you’re looking for the most iconic view of the City of Lights, that must be the one from the Bellagio terrace. This panorama has it all – the Venetian, the new Sphere, the High Roller, and the Paris Hotel with the Eiffel Tower. With one of the world’s biggest fountains as a backdrop, Nikki and Jason danced to the music, enjoying the breathtaking views.
Nikki and Jason’s review from Google:
“Planning our anniversary shoot from Australia was so easy working with Ivan. Having 20 years of wedding photography under our belts, we were very picky choosing the right photographer to capture this special moment. We absolutely made the right choice! Ivan exceeded our expectations, took amazing photos and made the whole experience so much fun! Our anniversary shoot was better than our wedding day! Thank you so much Ivan for being so amazing and being a master of photography. You are brilliant!!“
While taking photos with “Celebrating 20 years …” street art I changed original number 10 to 20, since it was their 20th anniversary. It just makes much more sense.
