Same sex marriage at the Sure Thing Chapel Las Vegas

Spencer and Miguel reached out last September, sharing their vision for a retro, fun Vegas wedding with a touch of classic charm. After their inquiry, we set up a phone call, and from the moment we started chatting, we clicked. They were easygoing, full of energy, and had such a clear idea of what they wanted.

We bounced around a few location ideas for their photos, and their top priorities were the iconic “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign and the lively Fremont Street area. Both spots are perfect for capturing that vibrant Vegas vibe, and I couldn’t wait to bring their vision to life.

When they told me they’d decided to elope at the Sure Thing Chapel, I was so excited. It’s such a fun venue, and it fits their style perfectly. They went with the Drive-Thru package and included a classic car, which added this extra cool and unique element to their day.

I knew right away that their wedding was going to be something truly special, and I felt so fortunate to be a part of it. The ceremony was short and sweet, yet full of meaningful moments. They were married by the Lady Elvis, the “King of Las Vegas,” adding a fun and unique touch to the celebration. Walking down the aisle in front of their families, they exchanged rings and shared a kiss, marking the beginning of their new chapter together. It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony that perfectly captured their love and the spirit of their Vegas elopement

Sure Thing Chapel packages

The Sure Thing Chapel is one of my all-time favorites. It’s a popular option for couples seeking an intimate, stress-free wedding. It’s also one of the few Vegas chapels that allows you to bring your own photographer and features Lady Elvis, Hellvis, and a classic Studebaker Lark car. Some of the packages that they offer are:

  • The Sure Thing – this package gives you 30 minutes in the chapel and allows up to 20 guests

  • The “Drive Thru” – gives you 15 minutes in the chapel and 15 minutes with the classic car and allows up to 10 guests.

  • The Whole Shebang – gives you 1 hour in the chapel with up to 25 guests.

  • Wedding and a Show™ – gives you 1 hour at the chapel with up to 25 guests. You can chose performance of either Elvis, Surely the Showgirl, Burlesque, Hellvis, and Elvis & Burlesque.

  • ♥ Lady Luck ♥ – gives you 1 hour at the chapel with up to 25 guests and a flower arrangements.

  • After dark – Blood Burlesque or Hellvis & Blood Burlesque performance, wine hearse for photos and 60 minutes in the chapel.

You can customize any of the packages by adding a classic car, a performer, or flowers. Each package includes marriage license filing and vintage photobooth strips. Last autumn, “Sure Thing Too” opened, offering a similar experience with a fresh blue-themed atmosphere.

Classic car photos, Downtown, Welcome to Las Vegas sign

After the ceremony, we took a few family photos, as well as some shots with the latest addition to the classic car collection—the Rambler American convertible. The bold red color really stands out and photographs beautifully. We popped some champagne, then made our way towards the “El Cortez” hotel for a drink before heading over to the famous Vegas sign for more photos.
