Looking back, our journey from the high seas to Serbia is like a big blessing from the sky. Months before finally deciding to settle in Uzice, all we needed to make sure then was that our wisdom was stronger than our fears.
Croatia to Sremska Mitrovica to Belgrade and to Uzice (a long journey via ship-airplane-train-car). Days became weeks, weeks became months, and then years passed.
We trusted destiny to bring us closer to our hopes and dreams, we wished everyday for our hearts to tell us what we are good at, but most importantly every single day we work enough to stay active and inspired.
Here are some of the highlights of our lives since 2011. Life has been good– the gods listened and we are here because of our passion.
This was Ivan and I during our farewell party onboard our last ship. Shot against the beautiful moonlight, we remember wishing for a steady bright future in Serbia, praying that we be blessed with children and good health.
1 year and 2 months later, we had Lili. Surreal that though we miss ships sometimes and seeing so many beautiful places all at once, nothing compares to the joy and inner peace of having our own family. Lili lights up our lives and she is our inspiration for everything.
Thank you, Srbija. These last 2 1/2 years has been a meaningful journey for us, and we look forward to brighter and healthier years to come.
